Bone Marrow Transplant

-Indicated for patients with leukemia, aplastic anemia, and other immune disorders. May also be used for patients getting large doses of chemotherapy.

-It is important to find a donor who matches the recipient.

-Patient will be placed on reverse isolation to prevent complication in the immunocompromised patient.

-Immunosuppressant drugs may be given in order to prevent rejection or graft-host disease and other possible complications.
